Privacy Policy

Gaffer Arena is a free football tactics prediction game. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the game you agree to the practices described here.

• Account details: your email address and the username you choose.
• Gameplay data: the tactical calls you make, your scores, XP, ELO rating, streaks and match history.
• Optional profile data: a display name and avatar if you add them.
• Push subscription: if you enable notifications, a device push endpoint so we can send match alerts.
• Contact messages: if you email us or use the contact form, the name, email and message you send.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.

We use your data only to run the game: to create and secure your account, calculate your ELO rating and XP, place you on the leaderboard, show your match history, send the notifications you opt into, and respond to your messages. We do not sell your data, we do not run third-party advertising, and we do not use your data for profiling beyond the in-game tactical archetype shown on your own profile.

We do not share your personal information with anyone outside the infrastructure providers that run the game on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Sportmonks (live football data — they receive no personal data from us), our hosting provider, and SMTP2GO (email delivery, used only to send you account and notification emails). Your username, rank and rating are visible to other players on the public leaderboard.

If you enable push notifications we store a push subscription endpoint for your device so we can alert you at kick-off, half-time and full-time. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings, which removes the subscription.

We keep your account and game history while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@gaffermode.com. We will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@gaffermode.com.

Gaffer Arena is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the game after a change means you accept the revised policy.
